Growing up I played soccer and was on the varsity team for all four years of high school. After high school, I joined the CSU Chico’s waterski team. During my junior year of college I started doing CrossFit and fell in love with it. I love that it can be modified to any ability and is truly what you make of it.
Coming in to the gym my first day I was extremely intimidated. I had never really touched a barbell before and never saw other women lifting heavy weights. Now I absolutely love lifting and want to help other women feel comfortable around barbells and see that heavy lifting isn’t just for the guys.
